FRACTURED JAW & HEAD TRAUMA

If a broken or fractured jaw is suspected, or if you have experienced head trauma, proceed immediately to the emergency room.

For a jaw fracture, the jaw should remain as still as possible. In the case of a very young child, gently tie a scarf lengthways around the head and jaw to prevent movement.

For a head trauma, even if consciousness has not been lost, it’s important for doctors to rule out delayed concussion and internal bleeding.
